- Holiday Auction Ends December 16th


Please visit the site and peruse our many exciting and beautiful holiday gift items, from hand-made Waldorf toys and crafts, to luxury handbags, event tickets, gift certificates and more. You are bound to find something for everyone on your list, perhaps even something for yourself!

So tell your friends, family and community, share the link far and wide, and let the bidding begin! The last day to bid is December 16th at midnight (11:59pm).

Proceeds from our Holiday Auction will help provide scholarships, maintain our beautiful community garden.


- School Vacation
Begins Thursday, December 20th


School Vacation begins Thursday December 20, 2012. We will reopen Monday January 7, 2012.We hope everyone has a happy and healthy break.

If your child is in the Aftercare program please remember on the last day they attend to take their blanket home to be washed. 


- Call for 100% Wool or Cashmere Sweaters


The craft committee is happy to accept your old 100% wool or cashmere sweaters to be upcycled into new toys for our classrooms.  Please leave your donations at the front desk.

- Attention Composters!


We would love to start composting for the school. If there are any parents how would like to help New Amsterdam with composting please email or speak to Lisa Bono. 


- Winter Parent-Child Class Applications


We are now accepting applications for our Winter Parent-Child program.  Classes are available for children between 7 months and over 30 months of age.  For the schedule, see the post. >>more


- Sample Session
- Sunday, January 13th 10-11:30 AM


The Sample Session is an opportunity for parents and their children over the age of two to spend time in one of our classrooms, meet our teachers and learn more about our unique approach to early childhood education.  Sample Sessions are limited to six families.

- Open House
- Thursday, February 7th from 7-8:30 PM


Our Open House is for parents only and is an opportunity to see our classrooms, meet our teachers and participate in an in depth discussion about our programs.

Familes currently enrolled in our Bridge, Nursery and Kindergarten programs must apply for tuition assistance on or before Friday, March 1st, 2013. For more information, see the post. >>more

2013-14 Tuition Assistance Deadlines

Familes currently enrolled in our Bridge, Nursery and Kindergarten programs must apply for tuition assistance on or before Friday, March 1st, 2013.  It is helpful for the Tuition Assistance Committee to have your applications as early as possible in the new year.  Please be certain your application includes your 2012 tax returns.

If your child is not enrolled in our drop off programs this year and you have applied for our 2013-14 Bridge, Nursery or Kindergarten programs please complete your tuition assistance application as soon as possible in the new year.  All applications must be returned to the school by March 1st, 2013.
